What are the different bedroom styles?

Shabby Chic

Shabby Chic style has a way of updating old things and aging new ones. Antique and vintage-style items take up plenty of space in shabby chic, but they’re often repainted white or other unexpected colors. Weathered or distressed furniture is very popular in shabby chic spaces, which are usually bright and airy with soft colors, neutrals, and plenty of white.

Contemporary

Contemporary style is very geometric. A contemporary bedroom will have a low bed in a simple, unadorned style. Other furniture will also be mostly horizontal and fairly low to the ground, though there may be a taller vertical piece for contrast. Black, white, and gray are very common colors in contemporary design schemes, often combined with splashes of bolder color. This design style uses mostly solid colors and light, metallic accents.

Modern

Modern is also a geometric style, but it’s even more minimalist than contemporary. Unlike most contemporary rooms, modern rooms also tend to include surprising, bold, asymmetrical elements. Neutral colors are dominant in this style, and monochromatic designs are common.

Art Deco

Art Deco is a classy vintage style based on the 1920s and ‘30s. Though there are plenty of geometric shapes in art deco, they’re mostly used as patterns (not the shapes of the furniture). Textiles with angular designs show up often, as do strong curves. Art deco is also known for its use of wood and wood inlay, chrome, glass, and mirrors. An art deco bedroom would usually have a fairly neutral, monochromatic color scheme.

Traditional

Traditional style is usually based on English and French styles from the 18th and 19th centuries. It often includes elements like gilt mirrors, dark wood, lush fabrics and intricate patterns. If you love classic wooden four-poster beds and Oriental rugs, traditional just might be your style.

Eclectic

Eclectic style means anything and everything goes. Eclectic designs pull in elements from other styles, using variety to create a space that still feels cohesive. The color palette is entirely up to personal taste. Eclectic is definitely not a minimalist style. Eclectics love contrast, putting together mismatched furniture and all kinds of different colors, patterns, and textures.

Stylish small bedroom design ideas.

1. Use more white furniture

If the house is small, use white more white reflects light to make the space bigger.

2. Tatami, save the small bedroom

Tatami is very suitable for small bedrooms, and it is suitable for storage and rest.

3. Use wall cabinets to save floor space.

Room space is limited, and if you want to make storage, then try to make a row of wall cabinets on the wall to save space and realize storage function.

4. Make a wardrobe by the bed to save space

Not all wardrobes have to be placed on the side of the bed. Try to customized a set of wardrobes around the bed. It is very practical.
